Three boys have been working hard training and caring for two special dogs in our final session of Project Chance Monroe. They will present two dogs at their graduation ceremony Thursday, Oct. 8, at 5:30pm at the Monroe County Youth Center, 3600 Custer Rd, Monroe. Please attend and show your support. All are welcome to come and celebrate to encourage the youth to make the most of their second chance.
All are invited to attend Project Second Chance graduation ceremony this Thursday, Aug. 27, 5:30 pm at Monroe County Youth Center, 3600 S. Custer Rd, across from fairgrounds, east of library. One of the dogs in the program is from The Devoted Barn and the other is from a local shelter. Four youth have been working with two dogs to learn empathy, responsibility, and a sense of community. One dog is being adopted by a Michigan veteran through Pets-for-Vets and the other by a local Monroe County family. The graduation ceremony is a small, special event and the more people who attend to support the youth and their families, the better the lessons learned. It's free to the public, only lasts 30-40 minutes, is held outside, and includes refreshments. Hope to see you there!
